About Mic-Bel Quarter Horses.

We strive to raise a quality, athletic, good looking, easy to get along with prospect that will be able handle work in many disciplines. Our horses are well cared for and we spend many hours with each one of our prospects. Our horses are a reflection upon us and we take great pride in what we produce. We teach manners and discipline from birth while also allowing horses to be horses.
Some horses that we've bred, raised and sold have raced at Remington Park in Oklahoma, barrel raced at the Old Fort Days Barrel Futurity or are barrel racing on their local circuits across the nation. Some have become Drill Team/Parade horses, others have went on to perform at Team Pennings, Sortings, Rodeos and local Shodeos, others have been great trail riding, youth and family horses. We currently have new line of Prospects that are becoming promising Team Roping, Barrel Racing and Reining horses.

We do not train horses for the public, several poeple have asked us to train their horses after seening how well trained our horses are, but we simply do not have the time. Keep in mind that our horses have been started on our program from birth, they typically will lead and stand tied before they are 10 days old, they understand the basics of giving to resistance and yeilding their hind quarters. At approx 10 days they are turned out to be babies until weaning age. When they are weaned they get a refresher coarse in leading, standing tied and learn to load in the trailer, clipping, having their feet trimmed, neck bends and manners. All our horses are brought in and fed daily, weanlings learn quickly how they are expected to behave at feed time and wait their turn. Beginning their yearling year they are taught to lightly lunge and get a refresher coarse of what they have already learned. They also will learn about blankets and patience. As 2 year olds they are started under saddle for 30 days which includes additional ground work daily for reinforcement of respect. After 30 days we spend the remainder of the 2 year old year exposing them to the trail. As 3 year olds they begin more intensive training. If you have read this far you see it takes much more than 30 days to train a horse to be well mannered and that is without all the baggage that can come with an older horse. We simply do not have the time it takes to mold your horse into one of ours.

DISCLAIMER: We do not claim to be professional trainers for a specialized area, therefore our horses may not be specifically trained in any one area. Our horses are trained to be all around horses with good manners.
